What would happen if I were to open up my computer and just remove the graphics card [Read More]?

What would happen if I were to pull the graphics card out of my computer while the computer was on and in the OS?What would happen if I were to open up my computer and just remove the graphics card [Read More]?
Your computer would crash, and you may do electrical damage to the motherboard. If you do it with the computer OFF, then it will probably be okay but UNPLUG it first.
You would fry the GPU right off the bat, and very likely your motherboard too if you touched it, and you might damage your CPU as well. Your monitor would go black and your computer might freeze when you pulled it out as well. I would highly recommended you to NOT do this, unless of course you are about to throw the computer away and just want to see, but still, be careful not to get shocked or cut when you pull it out. What would happen if I were to open up my computer and just remove the graphics card [Read More]?
The Graphics card also know as video Cards is really what sends the pixels to the screen from your computer. Removing it would just simply turn the screen black. If you did it while it was on your would possibly break the processor or cause a system failure. I wouldn't recommend it.
%26gt;I think this is a very UNWISE thing to do. You may get a hefty electrical shock to begin with, and you probably will not only permanently damage the video card but you may also damage the motherboard as well.

%26gt;UNSMART IDEA!What would happen if I were to open up my computer and just remove the graphics card [Read More]?
Removing the graphics card while the computer is on would destroy the hardware. Not a good idea.
