There are two types of computer, server and client. A client ASKS for data. A server replies by sending the data requested.
Both are just software, communicating with each other... A server is sort of like a library, a repository of many things, with people being clients, asking to see the data, but from a distance as with a telephone line to a librarian.What is server computer ?
A server is a computer program running to serve the requests of other programs, the "clients". Thus, the "server" performs some computational task on behalf of "clients". The clients either run on the same computer or connect through the network.
