How do the production, transportation, and use of the computer impact the increase of greenhouse emissions?

How does the selection of materials and packaging impact the environment? What restricted substances like lead, mercury, cadmium, and PVC are found in your machine? Could Substitute materials be used? How would the ultimate "green machine" be designed?

Hi guys, this is for my computers class and I have no idea how to answer this! I have to write a whole page so help me out please! ThanksHow do the production, transportation, and use of the computer impact the increase of greenhouse emissions?
Think about the energy used in running the computer. How do we get electricity? Coal fired plants? Oil based refineries? Solar panels?

Specifically the production idk. Transportation is easy, if you need numbers look up how many trucks carry computers to stores, if there are any "middlemen" between the factory and the store, what kind of materials the cpu requires. ALL those trucks spit out that fuel residue/gas/stuff that people say cause greenhouse gas/ global-warming effect.
